Default Live Messenger on the 8830 Verizon

I dont know if it is coincidence but last wee i downloaded the latest os off of verizons site (i think it was 4.2.2.196 or something like that) and this week I was able to download MSN Live messenger on my 8830....FINALLY!! I have been waiting for this forever. Any one else have this luck as well? AOL and ICQ are still not available but MSN is all I need.

Not unusual. Like I said in another thread, Bell had exclusive rights to WLM but that right has since expired. Telus users found that service books were pushed to their BlackBerry's.

Still, there are some carriers who don't support this service.

    Red face

I am just happy it works finally. I have been using IM+ and although it has some very cool features, native programs look better. For example you can see peoples avatars/pics. What I would be interested to know is what the battery draw is on this app vs. what it is for IM+. Any one do any testing or know any specs on this?
