Hi,
I'm a new 8830 user trying to make the transition from my Treo 700w.
I'm trying to find how to limit the hours the 8830 will deliver mail messages.
The Treo would let me set the delivery times, say from 5am to 10pm.
So far I haven't found the information needed to make this happen. Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thank you,
raiz

You can manually do it by holding down the mute key and this will put you in standby mode. You will still receive calls. Or you can use auto on/off
BlackBerry 101: Lecture 17: Using Auto On / Off | CrackBerry.com
this shuts the whole thing down.

Turn off the data services. BB's are push email devices, not like the Treos who poll email accounts... unless they are setup through ActiveSync.
