Hello All, newbie here with a 8300. This is a great site so hopefully, someone can help me out. My problem is when using the phone I can hear the other person but they're unable to hear me. I thought it was the mute button but it appears to be turned off. I hope it's not a defect. I just bought the 8300 so I'm still very new to this. Thanks!!

Pull the battery out while the phone is turned on. Leave it out at least 1 minute. Put it back and see if that fixes it.

I took the battery out and tried restarting but that didn't work. Thanks for the suggestion.

As a follow up, if I use the speaker phone I can be heard. Otherwise, still a no go on being heard.

Ummm, what's a 3100? Based on your profile this isn't even the right forum. If you just bought it (whatever a 3100 is) why not just swap it?

Changed the post to reflect 8300. I'll repost in the 83xx. I bought it "new" from Craigslist. Thanks for pointing that out.
