I want to start with a clean slate

Open Desktop Manager
Connect your BB
Double-click "backup & restore"
Select "advanced"
wait for the "device databases" list to populate
scroll down the list (on the left) until you find "calendar", and then highlight it
click the "clear" button under the list

I tried the above but I still can't erase my calendar.
1. Outlook 2003 (Win XP) looks fine.
2. sync causes the appointment times to change and multiple duplicates to appear on the BB 8830
3. Back-up/restore deletes the entries on the PC Window but they remain on the blackberry!

You need to make sure you are deleting them from the right hand side if the box, device databases.

THIS is perfect!!! I no longer have duplicate entries!!!!! At least not now - and hopefully not in the morning when I reboot! Thanks!
