Help: Contact transfer issue with BDM backup.

I work for Verizon and I have a customer who recently purchased an iPhone 4. He had all of his contacts back to through Blackberry Desktop Manager and when he performed the backup, he backed up everything to a Memory stick instead of his hard drive. He no longer has his blackberry but wants to be able to get the contacts that are saved in that backup so that he can put them on his iPhone. Is there any way to do this without a blackberry or would he need the phone to be able to restore it and then transfer contacts? Thank you in advance!
