Help with Blackberry 8830 World Edition?1

so i am i T-mobile costumer and my brother gave my a blackberry 8830 world edition. i heard that you can use this phone also for tmobile if you unlock it. CAN SOMEONE please help me unlock this device the IMEI code is:355771.01.191469.0 please help me!!

Is it a verizon phone? They will have to unlock. You can follow the procedure in the threads at top of this forum.
Is t-mobile a cdma network?

You cannot unlock an 8830 to use on T-Mobile. T-Mobile is a GSM carrier. The GSM radio in an 8830 can only be used on European GSM frequencies. There is no way to use it on North American GSM networks, unlocked or not.
