I'm a long-time Treo user thinking about a switch to the BB 8830. I'm trying it out now, but I just can't get over the clumsiness of the email software, compared to Chatter email on the Treo. Also, the browser's display of web sites and javascript handling seem fairly weak compared to the Treo.

So: are there better third-party email and web clients for the BB?

Smartview is an excellent email viewer. I like the BB Browser but many like Opera Mini.

EMpower is a great HTML email viewer, too. In addition, you might want to consider installing Opera Mini.
Remember, a BlackBerry does not support FULL Internet, like say, the iPhone. So, certain websites will not work 'properly', period.
