I started out with the desktop redirector solution for my 8830
I setup my account online at sprint.blackberry.net for my exchange account.
Then the company moved to the BES.
I deleted my existing account exchange(outlook) account from sprint.blackberry.net and went through and activated via Enterprise Activation.
My email icon for the exchange account is gone now.
Do i need to reset an account thru the website in order for it to reappear?
If the icon is missing from your device then I *think* that means that the account doesn't exist. I've had a similar problem with Exchange, and I had to go back to the BB site and re-create the account.
Once you are on BBS server your shortcut for POP3 Exchange gets deleted because now that exchange e-mail become your default and it reside inside the main Email folder. You can not have both BES and POP3 running it might cause duplication.
