    Hi,
    i recently bought a pristine condition VZW 8830
    Im having trouble setting up my email, or any email account for the matter with the phone.

    Since it was used before the recent owners email is still active on the phone , but i dont believe it is an account he uses.

    I would go into the email setup and enter my pin and esn etc and it would just tell me that there is already an active pin for this device

    And i dont know the username and password for the email setup, how should i get around this?

    You will have to call Verizon and ask them to delete that users BIS account.

    Or try to get ahold of the old user and obtain their BIS account information.
