downloading any kind of media?!
- i'll start with saying i had a blackberry 8703e. it was way cool, but i didn't do ANYTHING with it. no data plan or anything.
now i have the 8300, LOVE IT, and i already see the massive capabilities, and i want it all! haha. but i'm a bb beginner. help please?
1. how do i get any music or video's onto my 8830 through pocketmac? because it only syncs calender's, contacts etc... how do i get music or video on there? do i need a micro sd card?
2. Are there updates available for the sprint version? and if so, how do you even go about putting them on your blackberry?
from what i see pocketmac sucks. it just syncs stuff. i don't see anyway to add apps even. unless i click the icon to buy things. and who knows how that even works. but i'm a noob
thank you!!!!!!10-19-07 02:02 AMLike 0 - Read.this post about transferring media files from your mac to your BB

I have used it to transfer documents as well.
Good luck.

I have the same problem. I got your thread to my question which you linked here. I put in a MicroSD card then plugged my BB to the Mac and it asked on the BB to turn on Mass Storage and I said Yes. Nothing else happened. I don't see where I can get media where you said on the Finder? When I click on the PocketSync, I get .mac, BB and Sync. Where do I find the Media info to drag onto the BB? Thanks for your help.
Jackie10-19-07 08:13 AMLike 0 - Jackie- I can't address what is going on with you but here is what is happening with me. The first time I tried this, I didn't notice the addition of the No Name card to the finder window - it just showed up in the top left corner of finder - right under Network and Macintosh HD. It does not happen instantly It might take 30 seconds or more. And if finder is not opened, you will not get any message or indication on the mac that a connection has been made. If it does not happen I suspect that there is something not right about your connection to the mac - try disconnecting and then re-connecting.
Good luck

- Katie! Thanks!!! It worked!!! As you said, after I plugged in my BB to the Computer, it took about a minute and the "NO NAME" drive showed up!!!! I was then able to click and drag pictures and music from my MAC to that drive and onto the BB it went!! Thank you so much!!! For others wondering how to put media onto a BB with a MAC Computer, we have figured it out!!! You do need a MicroSD card first then it's a piece of cake.
Thanks again Katie!!!

I am glad it workd for you. I switched from a PC to a MAC and from a TREO 700w to a PC all in the same month so I am delighted that I have actually figured enough out to be of help to someone else.
The fact that anything is working at all is a tribute to both Apple and Blackberry.
