Is there anyway to change the function of the convienence button from the voice deal?

Applications -> Options -> Screen/Keyboard -> Convenience Keys Opens: -> Choose what application you want the key to work for.

thanks scott... i just got my 8830 at work today and i think i've been playing with it for like 4 hours now setting up email accounts and changing all sorts of settings and you probably just saved me 20 minutes of messing around to fix that.

On some carriers, like AT&T, if changing the key the use to support PTT, you have to do a battery pull after changing the key. If not, it will revert after a few hours...
