Is there anyway to change the icons on the main screen? i like the message and calender but i don't want the call log of applications button.

You can hide the icons. Highlight, hit menu and select Hide.

yes the ones on the main screen are the first ones or top ones in your app screen, Some themes may be different...

on the app screen just move the apps around until you get them where you want them. you can also create a folder and drop different apps in there.
