My husband had problems with his charging port on his 8830WE a few weeks ago and after much go around with verizon they gave him another 8830.
Well, guess what. Today mine screwed up. I can't get the charger into to port...same problem he had.

Anyone know any quick fixes?

I plan to buy the storm next friday.

If you're using the same charger your husband used, get a different one. You need to be able to make a backup of your 8830 before you get your storm.

oh, I forgot about that...I will try to get it to connect to make a backup...haven't done that in a couple weeks.
I'm just gonna switch the batteries to get them charged on husbands until Friday.
Thanks for the reminder about the back-up. I am going to try that now.
