BlkBerry Messenger update NEED HELP!!

I have the 8830WE on Verizon. I'm using OS 4.5.0.175. I am having trouble updating my Blackberry messanger from 4.5.0 to 5.0.0.57. Everytime I'm on Blackberry world I try and d.l it but it just takes forever to d.l. (30 mins) then when it finally goes through it says download fail insufficent memory but I have enough memory. The required memory for the update is 3.6 mb and i have 5.1. avaliable.

Can anyone help me figure this out and how to update the new bbm?

5.1 mb of memory is all you have? No you don't have enough memory. You really need 7-8mb free at all times for the phone to run efficiently. You will have to remove some of your 3rd party apps to upgrade BBM
