My Berry has locked up 4 times today. The screen blacks out, the red LED comes on for a few seconds, and then I get nothing but the hourglass for about a minute. What gives? I haven't installed anything new in weeks.

dude mine has been doing it for the past couple months! its so annoying im on tmobile and i think i had a faulty app i had three replacement phones sent me and now today i just had tmobile send me another sim card, mine after it does that mentions something about security updates... its annoying and we need answers! Please help

Mine has done that too. A battery pull usually fixes it. If it continues happening call Verizon. My 8703e was replaced for doing that.

I deleted the apps that I wasn't using (Google sync, Facebook and Beyond 411), and started clearing the cache (alt + LGLG) and it hasn't happened once since. I'm not sure what the cause was, but it seems to have stopped for now.
