Update: I installed 4.5 as per the numerous instructions posted online. Took about 30 mins, restarted phone and resent service books.
The 8830 now feels like a BRAND NEW phone, much more readable emails, browsing is quicker and the browser itself is noticeably improved. Ringer is also much louder, forcing me to adjust some profiles.
If you were holding off for your carriers' official release, I would highly recommend downloading the bell version and deleting the vendor file.
