I recently purchased the BB 8830 and I cannot figure out why all the folders from outlook came over but they're empty. I'm using BES. I receive emails but they show up in the messages Inbox and not the actual folders they should be in.

In Outlook my Inbox has several folders. One for each co-worker I deal with.

Example:

INBOX
....Joe
....Bob
....Tom

In Outlook, all Joe/Bob/Tom emails are in their respective folders. On the BB, the Joe/Bob/Tom folders are there, but empty. All their emails are in the main messages folder with all other messages.

I'm not sure if this is something that needs to be configured on the BES or the BB itself.

lol. I take it in Outlook emails from these users go into those folder? That's because you setup delivery rules in Outlook to do that. That happens at the client/Outlook level. Email delivery to your BB happens before that, so it won't sort them out for you.

Correct. So this is why I need to create folders and have the BES put them in the appropriate folder??
