Default 8830WE and call log problem

Hi,

The past few days, my call history has been completely incorrect. It is indicating that I have both placed and received calls from people I haven't talked to in years. And, according to the call duration, it is implying that I actually talked to these people. I don't think it is just listing the incorrect contact because it is showing way more calls than I have actually placed and received...and it's not an error in the address books, because the names are associated with the correct numbers. I'm getting nervous that it's actually auto-calling people!!!

Has this happened to anyone else? Is this a problem with my phone or carrier?

Thanks,
Christyn

Have you done a battery pull since noticing this behavior? A battery pull (with the power ON; leave it out a minute or so) will force your indices to be rebuilt, as well as clear your memory. If you haven't done so, try that.

Default I am thinking that it is verizon

We have been having the same issues...... Both on the pearl as well as the 8830 WE It was actually happening for a few days. In addition it wiped out emails.

It was very strange because is happened at the same time my billing cycle changed. I have also noticed a change in reception in "low coverage areas". I am suspect of Verizon.

I love them, but I hate them. I would like to know if they have a QOS variance between rate plans/monthly spend rate.

I just moved the 8830 to the 99 unlimited calling.....I suspect all of the recent variances may have something to do with that.....

Any thoughts??

Have you checked your memory and did the battery pull as Jeff suggested?
I have not had any problems like that, and I don't believe changing plans would have anything to do with it.

Log in to your VZ account and see if the calls there jive with your BB.

Here's a link to a related thread from last month. You are not alone in having this behavior. It's not clear from the thread if rebooting the phone solved the problem, or if it stopped when the phone was placed near a bible...
