Default 8830 world edition- sprint

I have a sprint 8830 world edition that I want to sell. I know it has a sim card. My question is.... can a person use this phone on an another network like verizon? or any other network?

If you have it unlocked, you can use another carrier's SIM card overseas. SIM cards from North American GSM carriers will not work.

Verizon will not let a Sprint phone be used on their network.
