8830 we working on boost...no flashing needed

I am a new Black berry user. I received a 8830 from a friend and wanted boost mobile. I mean ,really....who wants to pay more than $50 a month. So I found a guy that does it and it works. I put a palm treo on boost as well. Apparently any sprint smartphone can be put on boost. Any questions?

I can check my gmail from the phone. I cant get windows live to work yet, but I think it is because I don't know what i am doing.(my first bb)

So if i can get any smart phone from sprint on ebay, and it is unlocked, that means i can use on boost mobile?
I don't even mind if the walkie talkie doesn't work. just want the unlimited plan.
will all the app work, such as gps?
