Our company recently switched to 8830's from 8820's. I never had a problem with the 8820, but the volume on my 8830 is way too low(even w/ classic ringtone on high). I sometimes miss calls while I'm driving or if I'm away from the desk. I used to be able to hear the 8820 from anywhere in the office when I had it set on loud. When I go into my media and play music or ringtones it's perfect...nice and loud, but when I goto ringtones it's not the same level...no where even close. Is this common or is there anything I can do to fix it. There's 2 of us in our office and we're both having the same problem.
There is the STICKY thread at the top of this sub-forum regarding the Classic Ringtone. If that is not working for you, maybe you need to re-examine how you assigned the tones - I do find it quite loud.
The other option is to actually edit that file using something like wavepad or audacity and increase the volume but it you go too loud it probably will distort.
