Writer: I experinced the same memory loss. I downgraded to the previous Verizon-supported OS (4.2.2.196) then reinstalled the 4.5.0.138. Memory usage, while dropping from 17M to 15M quickley, remained above 10M for an entire week - used to drop to 10M in a matter of hours. I also purchased Memory Eye, which monitors the memory and lets you know when it drops below a user selectable threshold. You can reset the device from the app.

So I'm having a strange problem. Upgraded to .138 and now, whenever I do a battery reset, all of my applications organization resets. Anyone have an idea for a solution?

Yes - you have to give up the Today PLUS theme. It does not work well with OS 4.5 - it does what you experienced - icon order and folders will not maintain between resets (battery pulls).

You either have to find another today plus theme that works (I have found that a very hard task) or give it up.

Has anyone put this on the 8830 WE with Sprint?
Every one here seems to be with other carriers...

I never did get an answer on the benefit of 'upgrading' from 4.5.0.135 (the 'official' version).

Default Alltel

No problem with Alltel. I have had it for several months with no problems, other than Alltel service.
