everytime i've been on the phone, the person who i am talking to always cry about how they cant hear me because the background noise is really loud.. or if i talk really loud, my voice break up. i guess BB is soo good that it picks up everything, is there a way you can turn off the voice enhancer or something? any help would be great, thank you.

You got me. I am on my 2nd 8830WE and they both have this problem. RIM and Sprint can't find a problem, but its damn near impossible for me to use this phone.

Press the green send key.
Press the menu key.
Select Options.
Select Enhanced Audio and disable it.

I have had 1 or 2 people tell me that they can hear background noise but not loud enough where it's a problem.

My law partner and I got new 8830s on Tuesday and he called me from court this morning and it was a nightmare trying to hear him. Sounded like he was standing on top of people in the hallway while he was on the phone.

My office just switched over to the 8830WE. I would say about 10 out of 40 BBs have this phone problem. My solution is to only use it when I'm in a quiet place.

I've received complaints about the background noise level too. It's unfortunate that such a great phone has such a crappy glitch

I don't think I have this problem. My Dad just switched over to the 8830 WE. He was going to Jamacia and needed the global capabilities. I had talked to hom a couple of times and it has been pretty good. The only time it was bad is when he was at a bar. But the again he is out of the country. I don't think my 8830 has a problem. If it does no one has complained about it.
