Default What 4.5?

As far as I'm concerned...version 4.5 doesn't exist until RIM/Blackberry says it does. I'm not going to chance bricking my BB or deal with all the bugs of a premature OS. My BB works fine right now with 4.2 .

Yeah, but the million $$ question is: will it show up before the bold appears on cdma carriers. I would sell my soul for the bold's processor on my 8830. I love my 8830, but as Ricky Bobby says, "I wanna go fast!"

I'm in that camp, also.

Besides, the start of this thread is reminiscent of grade school..."Oh boy...look what I have!! But you can't have it!!"

Asking the question again, does the 4.5 OS include a HTML email viewer?

I love the linked artical:

"You can soon download BlackBerry 4.5 from the RIM site"

"Published on January 31, 2008"

I wonder what their definition of soon is?

Nice, that should save me a few $$ buying third party apps. Wonder if Verizon will find a way to charge for it....

Ya know...that may not be so inconceivable. Maybe that's what's taking Verizon so long to release 4.5... trying to see which features they can use as money-makers! Hmmm... that would REALLY be the last straw!

You don't get the full Docs to Go suite anyway. RIM made sure of that... you have to pay to get it all. Kinda lame if you ask me, but not as lame as the amount of memory that Docs to Go will take on an otherwise "memory limited" device as it is.

Yeah, but I think that with either the next release of DM or the following you will be able to add and run apps from your miniSD. There is one app now, I don't recall its name, but I wasn't pleased with it. I think stressing about amount of memory will be a thing of the past come '09. Maybe its just me.

The change needed to make programs work off the Memory Cards is OS dependant, not DM dependant. If the OS doesn't support it, you can't do it. 4.5 has no such support and neither does 4.6 currently. RIM needs to address this issue immediatly because with HTML email support being introduced next month, that'll put even more stress on the whole memory issues.

Which disclaimer did you read; cause the one I clearly see doesnt say squat about a developer- he said dont ask for the "installer."
