LOL Dont be nervous the thread actually gives you the best way to do it. And in the case that you do brick your BB.. They can tell you how to fix that as well.

Got it and am now using 4.5 on my alltel bb 8830
only thing is I can't find my BB Messenger.

i tried 4.5 from bell but faced a few problems:
1. Battery drained very quickly.
2. Voice quality of speaker for music deteriorated significantly.
3. Display clarity/ icon resolution also decreased.



is it only me or anyone else is facing the issues. Help welcome.
