The major changes I've noticed so far are: New media player, new browser that allows youtube to work, documents-to-go.

So far I have tested it with word docs, and yes you can edit them on the device.

I thought OS 4.5 wasn't compatible with the VZ (CDMA) 8830 yet.Glad to see that VZ is working on it..

I'm interested. I put 4.5 on a 8100 and it's ok, but I just like tinkering and having the latest

Hopefully the 8830 gets some love.

OK, the most important question of all time. Does 4.5 fix the low ringer problem the 8830 currently has?

As for where you got it, if you're a tester for RIM or VZW, that's fine, we all understand that you cannot give out info on the OS, but if you got your hands on it because it was leaked... then at least say that so we know that it's out there somewhere. This is awesome btw!!! This now shows that testing of 4.5 on CDMA phones is currently underway. If you do work for VZW or RIM, do you know what the ETA is for the public release of this OS upgrade? Also, how much free memory is left after installing 4.5, that's a major concern for us all. Details man, details.... you can't just snap a shot and leave it at that. You opened up the can, now let out the worms.

Pay no attention to the fact the OP posted below the pic not to ask him for the link. It's one thing to ask if he got it legit or not, but another to blatantly ask for redistribution or assistance in finding a redistribution location.

Hey, no problem. Did I make it out to be problem? I wouldn't get so drastic in conversation with only just being registered on here. I know you're excited, and we all are, but even if the OP wanted to post links or PM them to people he still shouldn't based on legal reasons. No one gets in trouble for finding things on their own... just when they share those findings with other people. Anyway, enjoy your stay, and don't get to defensive.

Sounds great I had a VZW 8830 but now Curve, hopefully VZW will do something "out of the box" instead of justing on the sidelines.

Hey welcome to the Crack, but if you read the disclaimer, he doesn't want to be asked where developer he got it from. Like the rest of us, we need to respect his wishes and just wait to the final release.

The disclaimer say dont ask for the install. All everyone wants to know is it a leak version, is he a tester. Just basicly what the package is from, not where or how to get it.
