Turning phone off but leaving texting on

I have an 8820. Does anyone know if there is the ability to turn the phone off but leave texting enabled?

Yep - create a custom profile following these steps:

name it something catchy like "text only" and there you go.

I think you can set up a profile to where you only receive text alerts then put it to sleep....I don't think you can turn it off and still get anything.
