Default sim card rejected

as the title says my 8800 is unlocked when I type in MEPD they all say disabled
when I check in manage connections i have a red circle with a white line like a "NO ENTRY" sign
please see attached images for what I mean the phone was bought off ebay and I have a feeling it may not be legit and blocked by the service provider but before I raise a dispute with paypal I would be grateful for all comments

It all depends what carrier you are trying to use it on. It could be your sim card or there might not be enough pressure on the sim from the battery. Try a piece of a business card and place it between the sim and the battery.

The police will just dispose of it. I think they have better things to do. I would send it back to the original carrier and see if they can locate the owner.
