Default New Blackberry 8800

Hello(: I'm not new to Blackberry, or this site, but I recently got an unlocked 8800, it was vodafone branded, and I'm using it on the at&t network.

I've been using it for two weeks, and everything seems to be goin good, I updated the software also.

But being that it was vodafone branded, is there anything I should look out for? Any tips?

I bought the phone refurbished from overstock.com

Nope as long as it is unlocked and you have a data plan you should be fine.

When you update the firmware, make sure to use the Vodafone firmware which you should be able to get from their website.

You can use any vendors firmware as long as you aren't connected to the internet and you delete the vendor.xml file.

You can unlock by installing firmware and deleting an xml file?

Oh bum - I thought it required long negotiations with network operators and getting them to release a Network Unlock Code.

That's how you load another carriers OS, that doesn't unlock the device LOL.
