Assuming the BB you bought off Ebay was used, it has been registered with another carrier. You need to have the previous user release the PIN and IMEI from his previous carrier. That is the only way it can be set up on TIM.

If the previous owner refuses, you need to return it as unusable and leave the appropriate feedback for the eBay seller.

Good luck.

theirs nothing jsanders can do to correct it for you, as he stated the previous owner needs to contact AT&T to have the PIN released from their database, assuming he can, if that device shows in any sort of way as still being assoc. to a BIS account, AT&T reps cannot delete the phone out of their database as a security measure, they have no option but to assume the device is stolen, unless a verified owner calls in to have it removed...which leads back to the ebay seller, as long as he was/is the owner he can request removal of the PIN from the AT&T database...if he refuses, get your money back....you can try to go into Options/Advanced Options/Host Routing Table and press menu key and choose the option to "Register Now"...but I get the feeling that will do nothing at this point.
