Default Data Plan

I am planning to get a data plan for my blackberry 8800 but the USB Port is broken ( i currently use a battery charger to charge my device ), any way do i need to connect the phone at some point for the Data Plan to work ??

You'll be able to use your data plan to access the internet without using the USB port. You would need to use the USB port to sync your contacts, calendar, etc, to a PC, unless you have a PC with Bluetooth. In that case, you can sync wirelessly with bluetooth. Basically, I can't think of a reason you'd have to have the USB port.

Default USB problems too

My USB port got messed up some how too. Can you give me some details on the charger you use? And where you got it

I actually got the charger from someone at my office , i looked it up and its is from 40$ - 100$ . Its a large cradle that has a port.
