8830 all keys and trackball non functioning

I had my BB in my pocket and unlocked. I looked at the screen and several random letters were there. Afterwards all keys stopped functioning. I can still transfer data (immediately backed up data.) Calls and emails coming through but without keys I cannot open anything. Have tried battery restart. normal keyboard unlock and nothing has worked.

Try reloading the OS... I had this happen with a 8330 one time and reloading the OS fixed the problem... hopefully that's all it needs... I did however, have a similar issue with a 8830 where I literally had to take the thing apart and clean off the keyboard (sensors??) and one I had to order a whole new keyboard for... I'd try the 1st thing, reloading the OS.. hopefully this works! Good luck!
