8820 Syncs ok, Screen Blank

8820 screen suddenly went blank a few weeks back. Red light on the top of the phone glows for about a couple of seconds and then goes off. I re-installed the OS, and also used the loader /nojvm procedure to load the apps.

When I use Desktop Manager, the desktop manager sees the phone just fine. It syncs ok. I tried different batteries but the red light just flashes for a second and nothing on the screen.

I tried calling the phone, thinking that if it is just a screen problem, at least the phone would ring, but it doesn't do that either.

I don't know what to do next.

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
