8820 with B&O earset 3

Hello,

A colleague of my bought a Bang & Olufsen Earset 3.
He wants to use it with his BB 8820.
I bought an adapter cable for him, the HDW-15306-001, since the Earset 3 has a 3.5mm jack plug and the 8820 has a 2.5mm jack socket.
Now he says that the microphone of the Earset 3 does not work...
He only can listen...
He tried already a second Earset 3, but with the same result...
Does anyone have experiences with this earphones in combination with a BB 8820 and a HDW-15306-001 adapter cable?

Try a Seidio adapter

an adapter? too easy.

-rewire it and post pics on /g/ to troll audiophiles
-ask chuck norris to plug it into the mini jack
-disassemble blackberry, remove the minijack from the pcb and sold a bigger one.
