8800 problem

I have an 8800 that a friend gave me, I think its originally vodafone germany, however it works here in portugal with vodafone after I wiped the handheld and updated firmware to the latest version.

I cannot receive mms or configure an email account.

I have an internet package but I don´t think its a data plan.

Can I get portuguese software or firmware for this phone or should I reset it again? But I think that will put it back in German.

Vodafone PT are not much help coz they admittedly don´t understand blackberrys!!

Can anyone help?

You should have language choices under options nh your BB 8800. If not, try installing them with Desktop Manager and updated OS.
