Under Options, Security - Key Stores

My BlackBerry is a pesonal one and not through the business I work at. I am presuming then that Key Stores only applies if your BlackBerry is a corporate one?

What is the function of Key Stores? By putting a password in there, what am I allowing if anything?
    Allow Key Store Backup/Restore: Yes
Private Key Pasword Timeout: 1 min
    Key Store Address Injector: Disabled
    Certificate Service: None Available
Certificate Status Expires After: 4 hours
    Accept Unverified CLs: Yes

    Are these settings okay above?

I called tech support at Verizon Wireless but they had no idea.

Your help, as always, is sincerely appreciated.
