uncaught exception: padding byte out of range

One of my users just brought my her BB 8703e that had this error above an email she tried to scroll down. I tried to click OK and press enter to close it, it wouldn't. But if I used the end call key, center and side convenience buttons, they worked, but no other keys. I rebooted it, looks like it's working fine.

I did some searches on this error and didn't get much info on it, what does this mean?

ok so I guess it's just a generic error, like a blue screen just not as bad. I'll have to get her back in then and reload it.

is it really just that vague?

I have the same errormessage and since than I can't use my email or bbm anymore, can someone help me?
