text are coming in as a IM

Need some help. For some reason if I send out a text or receive one from someone that i have set up in my IM it come in as a IM. Does anyone know why or how you can change it.

are you talking about texts in BBM?

got the BB 9700 and if I send a text it goes straight to the BB Instant Messenger. Think it has something to do with having the there pin numbers in my address book. If someone sends me just a regular sms text message and i have them in the BB instant messenger does the same thing. Never has done it on any other BB that i've had.
