When I am using the browser, oftentimes it gets stuck while running scripts. I back out and close the browser and I still have the hourglass popping up every couple of seconds and significantly slower performance. The only way to remedy this problem is to pull the battery. Is there anything that can be done for this and will I have the same problem with the verizon curve?

This is one of the problems with sites not being optimized for a mobile platform. The only thing you could do is turn off javascript or not go to the site. I've had the same problem before, a battery pull is the only way to clear the problem.
