You're likey getting these messages because you installed Desktop Manager incorrectly.
You chose the 'BlackBerry Desktop Redirector' option during the installation, when you should have chose 'BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS)'

You need to do a few things here.
    1. Uninstall BlackBerry Desktop Manager completely.
    2. Go into Options > Advanced Options > Service Books on your handheld and delete any service book which starts with [Desktop]
    3. Reinstall BlackBerry Desktop Manager using the BIS option. Don't choose Redirector.

penguin3107 - Did you read the post?

    There is no redirector involved.

    Thanks.

I would try that solution anyway brad. The fix for messages that look like that has always been solved using the steps outlined by penguin.

    Yes, I read your post.
I suspect the user installed Blackberry Desktop Manager using the Redirector option on another computer... perhaps their home computer.
I can almost guarantee that the steps I posted will solve the problem.

Additionally, I was replying to the post directly above mine, but they should apply to your user's issue as well.
