On my 8703 I don't receive calls and texts after I've left my phone overnight.
It is a used phone, with no data plan and the previous owners e-mail is still under the message icon. Could this be a problem?
Can I back up everything, (including bought applications and ring tones I've put on that I can't without a data plan), wipe the hand held completely, and then put everything back on? Would that help?

I suggest you wipe the data, and start over (options / security options / menu / wipe data). Also, why no data package? A BlackBerry with no data package, is like a car without wheels - you can't go anywhere...
That's what I did...hope it works.
I used to have a data package, don't really need email on the go anymore, more so SMS. Plus Bell jacked up the rates on data big time.
Calendar/Memos too, I just prefer the blackberry interface over regular phones.
