Question about Scrolling and Inserting?

Hi--
I'm posting this for my boss.. he has a Verizon 8730e and he doesn't know how to "scroll" back into an email to change something. Like for instance, if he's writing an email, and he see's a mistake a few lines back, he has to manually delete every work he just typed. I know on my curve, I just use the trackball to scroll over to the word and change it.. How do you do this on the 8730 since there is no trackball?

You use the track wheel while holding in the alt key. This will allow you to scroll within the lines of the email.
