I am new to the forums and I searched this topic and could not find a definite answer so here goes.

I hav an 8700c on the AT&T network. I have the newest version of teh Desktop software curently loaded. The phone software is ver 4.1. When I attempt to open the media section of teh desktop client I recieve an error that the phone must me loaded with version 4.2 or later for this to function.

Could anyone explain a simple way to get ringotnes/MP3 tot he phone via USB cable as I currently do not have a data plan.

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

Can't be done via USB. Best way is to browse said website, from the device, and then save directly to the device.

Why have a BlackBerry, with no data plan? That's like a car with an engine, but no wheels - 'you can't go anywhere'... LOL

I got the phone as a refurb from AT&T for $50.00 with a new plan and right now the data is to exspensive for me.

I am trying to start my own business. When business is better I will add the data plan.

Also trying to figure out why AT&T unlimted data plan is $50.00 and T-Mo is &20.00

AT&T is the most expensive when it comes to data for a BlackBerry!

But, make sure when you ask for data, you ask for the cheaper package. There are two, one for 'everyday users' and another for people wanting to connect to BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Server)...

Tell me about it I just don't understand how AT&T can justify thier pricing with T-Mo being so low. But The CFO said AT&T and that is what I have.
