[NEW USER] Share PC connection to 8700? and other questions

Hello all, I am a new BlackBerry user and I have some questions about the blackberry.

I have a BlackBerry 8700,

1.Can I share my PC/Mac connection to the BB so I can access the internet without EDGE/GPRS, seeing this device does not have a WiFi connection?

2.Can I install BBM (BlackBerry Messenger) on it and chat to my other friends using newer devices? Say Bold, Curve, etc..?
