Question need to hack front convenience key to select

If anyone knows how to make any key select other than the trackwheel, please let me know. I am returning to this model Blackberry after using a Curve for a year. I never liked the trackwheel for selecting anything. I often end up moving the wheel a fraction and selecting the wrong thing in the movement

Try the bent arrow key on the lower right side of the keyboard. It works on the 8700c. Hope this helps.

I thought he was refering to the button in between the answer and end key. I want that key to select things.

The 2 convenience keys, left and center, can be reset at: options - screen/keyboard - scroll to bottom. The bent arrow key, lower right, opens the highlighted icon. The trackwheel is still needed for scrolling. I had a trackwheel replaced and it was like a new phone. Hope this helps.

Haha I know the enter key will select anything that is highlighted but it is a pain to reach at that angle IMO.
