my cousin's BB 8707g no SMS option

my cousins 8707g has no SMS options cant reply to sms messages or create SMS but the manual tells that it has SMS what should i do? well my cousin's BB is 2nd hand help me please on what to do

Maybe your cousin should contact his provider. Not too much you can for him unless your have the phone and can call the provider yourself.

well as i told you his cellphone is second hand shipped from canada and now here in the philippines so provider isnt an option

it sounds like it might have it (corporate) settings on it that may prevent it from sms i know the one i bought had it settings on it and it would not let me access the internet or email or bbmessenger if you want to call RIM heres the number tell them you think your phone has it settings and would like to return it to factory configuration it only takes 10 min ask them to walk you thru it. 18772552377
