My aging boss asked me to find his email account icon on his Blackberry. He had 3 accounts on there (all AOL... don't ask) and now there are only two showing up. I went into email settings and the account was set up properly. I deleted it and then reentered it to reactivate it, but nothing happened.

Any hints? I really have no clue what I'm doing here. Go easy on me. Thanks.

Try hitting the Menu key and selecting Show All - see if its just hidden.

    What model is the BB?

    8703? No menu key.

On the 8703, Hold down the ALT key (lower left key) and CLICK the trackwheel > SHOW ALL.

Ok, cool. I got a "Messages" icon back up now and it seems to have the emails from the account I was looking for. But how do I turn that back into an email account icon?

The main Messages icon will collect mail and messages from ALL email accounts, SMS, PIN messages , etc.

Individual email accounts will, in addition, have their own email icon. Most users find it best to hide those individual icons, and use the main Message folder for all.

So you are still missing the one individual email account icon after clicking SHOW ALL?

Yes, exactly. I see that all the emails, etc. are collected in Messages. My boss would like to have the separate icon to access only those emails separately. Might it have something to do with having 3 email accounts on there?

No, you can have up to 10.

Now, did look in any folders on the screen that he or you could have moved the 3rd email icon into?

You did click on SHOW ALL?

    Or in folders?

So, with the BB powered ON, remove the battery cover on the back, remove the battery, hold 30 seconds, replace it, and allow the BB to reboot. See it now?

If not do this... go to Options > Themes.
Choose another theme and activate it.
Do you see all three now?

Neither one of those options worked for me, I'm just going to delete the account and start from scratch.
