I'm Planning to buy an 8700g, but...

hi all, i need some clarifications regarding the compatibility for apps that run on this beautiful phone.

currently on my storm, these are the frequently used apps:
1) google maps
2) facebook v1.7
3) Ubertwitter
4) Y! Messenger
5) Crackberry Launcher by Fabian Heuweisser (sorry if i misspell your name sir)

so, with regards to the latest OS for this phone which is v4.5.0.180, i would like to know whether those apps i mentioned above can be smoothly run on this phone. Also, if possible, is/are there any substitute for those apps? (especially 3rd party apps for twitter)

the 8700g is quite old. i don't think its able to run many of the apps your looking for, in fact i dont believe it can get app world on it.

like its pretty terrible in comparison to today's modern cellular phones.

Facebook should. Ubertwitter should. Yahoo Messenger and the crackberry launcher should. Google maps will somewhat work. Since you have the scroll wheel you will only be able to move up and down on the map not left and right.
