Frozen.

I am having trouble with my 8700v. A download has frozen and now all Ive got is the little egg timer icon, Ive tried turning it off and taking the battery out but as soon as I put the battery back in it just goes back to the egg timer. This is an old phone and I don't have any cables for it. Anyone got any tips?

Are you saying it goes to the timer after a Battery Pull and never fully reboots?

How old is the battery in this device? A bad battery can freeze you into a timer cycle like you're describing. Without a sync cable, your options will be pretty limited. The good news is; cables are fairly easy to buy on Amazon or at most electronics stores.

Try to update the os and get a cheap cable on ebay. Maybe a new battery while your at it.
