What would happen if a usb memory drive was connected to the mini usb/charger port of the bb? Obviously they dont fit exact, but with an adapter would it work?
It probably wouldn't work, since the BB and the USB memory are both "peripheral devices". You need for at least one device to be a "Root Hub" in order for there to be the proper recognition of the USB memory.
Flash memory cards don't have this, because there's a memory controller built into the device, and you're using more than just 4 pins for power and data.
